What dragon fish specifically? A quick google search of "dragon fish" came up with several suggested species that will, most likely, not be compatible as they are deep sea or brackish fish. Besides, they all looked big and mean enough to gobble up any unsuspecting dwarf cichlid! :D

Well my angel is still only about the size of a half dollar, maybe a little bigger, so that won't happen for a while.

I actually got this same tank for my friend or xmas hahaha. I had a similar nano, and the only differences you will see from brand to brand besides the price is the quality of the hardware that comes with it. They sell small heaters for bettas at petsmart for $11.99 I believe; that's what I did...

Also, does he have any company? Sometimes quick little fish spook others, especially new additions.

Mine was, too, everyone else was active and vibrant. Maybe do little 10% pwc every day for a week? Maybe slowing the current from the filter with filter sponge or a DIY plastic current diffuser will help calm the waters and help it recuperate faster?

I had an angel that showed the same symptoms. I woke up one morning to her floating upside down. I never did figure out what happened :( I hope you do in time!!!
