So close I can hardly stand it. Looks like sump and more BR/LR is all thats left to get rollin but that must wait til I move.
I know I bought a lot of stuff that isnt absolutely necessary to get started but my long term plan is reef so I decided to get some stuff while the gettin was good.
LOL...I used the SB calculator on Fantasy Reef and got 267lbs for 4" SB plus two extra bags for fuge. I just double checked it thinking I may have entered the wrong dimensions but its correct as long as it is an accurate calculator. Didnt know sand disappears or perhaps settles but hey, like you...
I calculated for 4" SB and a couple extra for the fuge I havent built yet. Probably over-kill but didnt want to come up short when it comes time to put it all together.
Picked up four Koralia 4 PHs, 330lbs aragamax sand, and a titanium ground probe last weekend.
I have decided to hold off on the build for a little while. Tired of renting for the last two years and looking to purchase a home again so that will consume much time and money. But as soon as I find...
Good to hear your thinking of redoing rather than tearing down!
In my eyes this hobby is "Living Art" in the way that no two tanks are the same as with any of the most famous paintings.
Hope you get things sorted to your liking.
Cheers
Joe - You actually made me think a bit there and does seem doable. I still need PHs or I would have to setup an ext pump somehow, which seems easy enough but Im gonna wait a bit more.
Have a pair of Rio+ 2100 PHs on the way. Does anyone have comments/criticisms on these units? They are...
I think Im gonna get the sand next or maybe start my sump build??? Heck, I dont know hehe. One things for sure...I gotta watch my budget during this weakened economy period as not to carry over a CC balance. In this area with Boeing, Microsoft, Weyerhaeuser etc laying off big time one must pay...
Octopus Extreme 200
Got my Octopus skimmer in today and quite a big difference in construction quality than the CSS 220. Now I can get going on my sump build.
Another one off the list
Have you split your RBTA yet?
A fellow at Reeffrontiers claims "just feed a whole silverside every four to five days you'll get a split."
If you want to check it out:
Reef Frontiers
Gonna check out what I can get RC for since you pros like it (wholesale friends rule:D).
You still divin neilanh? You obviously did tropical judging by the excellent vis in pics on your website. Here in the Puget Sound the vis is decent in winter but come summer so does the alge and nowhere...
They are in fixtures. Its this model Aquarium Lighting: Marineland T5-48 Deluxe 48" Deluxe T5 Daylight/Actinic Light.
I wish they were individual reflectors but may mod them with icecap clip-ons since I got them new at wholesale.
After reading the specs on several different salt brands stating we have this, or specially made for that, I was beginning to wonder if its just marketing at work.
Thanks
