anyone ever have a problem with the durso style standpipe slowing down flow?? when i take the last elbow off the durso it flows fine but with that last elbow pointing down in the water its very very slow. ive experimented with many many different holes all the way up to having a huge slot...

xp2 owner and very happy with it been running for over a year now not one issue would have bought a xp3 if i could do it again though. cant ever have to much room for media.

im hooking the pool hose to a threaded pvc fitting and i just looked more closely and im just gonna have to use regular clear tubing of the same diameter. the clamps just cut through the tubing i have i believe its just cheaply made tubing very thin. thanks josh

i finally got all my stuff for my sump hooked up. now i have a pool filter hose thats running from my pump to my tank it connects to pvc fittings. i cant get those connections to seal i started with one hose clamp and that wasnt enough then i tried two clamps on the same fitting to no evail how...

any benefit to it in freshwater tank???

thats how im going to do it and ill get some surface agitation with the return and a few powerheads. not as worried about it since its gonna be in fresh water.

sweet are there any tricks to running the durso intakes that the durso website doesnt mention. i still dont understang how it will let water fall but if it does it without all the noise then the more power to it.

man i already have a mag 18 on the way. o well ill see how well it works and might have to upgrade hopefully itll get the job done for awhile so i can get this thing tuned in and running correctly.i wouldnt mind an external but am i gonna have to drill my sump to run it if i ever do get one...
