If you dont plan on having ANY corals, just fish, you should be fine with the lighting you currently have.

another good plan is on cnidarianreef.com/capstand.cfm. thats the plan I used and it came out pretty well. Cooltouchlighting on ebay also has good prices on retro kits. I got a dual 175W mh and dual VHO retro kit for 300 bucks.

When you rate the GPh in your tank are you talking about only the powerheads in the main tank or would the pump in the sump count also. I have a 75 gal with 2 295gph and 1 270 gph, but this doesnt include the filter pump. Should I get more??

I have gone through 3 of them in a month. I finally returned them and bought some maxijets. I'd get the 1200's for a 55 Gal. . Thats what I got and I really like them.
