Personally, I wouldn't really add much more. Your tank sounds to be perfectly stocked with the white clouds and cory cats. Plus, white clouds tend to prefer cold water and bettas are strict tropicals so I wouldn't mix the two. Just my thoughts on it :)

My recommendation would be online. Walmart doesn't treat fish properly and purchasing from there supports the continuation of the cruel treatment. I agree with what has been said above, it definitely is highly oxygenated! I wouldn't worry about it, in fact I'd worry about it being TOO turbulent before it being not enough!

Just about any natural and sterilized sand will work in your aquarium. I also know that this sand is occasionally used by aquarists and works well for them, but can be a bit coarse. All in all whatever works best for your tank is what you should go with!

If he shows no other symptoms and your parameters are fine, I wouldn't worry over it. Fish change colorations or develop new over time, it's a perfectly normal occurrence :)

I'd recommend you steer clear of arowanas. Though they're beautiful fish, they have huge appetites, rough attitudes, and need insanely large tanks. A 150 will fit a juvie for a bit, but I believe an adult will need 250+ gallons and TONS of food to sustain them. I'm not quite sure what type of...

I absolutely love when bettas spawn, they're definitely the most beautiful at that time and truly seem in harmony. Their fry can be a bit of a pain to raise, but seeing their finnage and beautiful colors come in makes it all worth it :)
