I have a few live plants in my tank would like more. Don't use co2. Would like to add carpet plant. Wouldn't like to use co2 either. I do use seachem flousish and excel. Any ideas on what to get with what I'm using?

Always have problems with ph and alkalinity. Ph is about 6.0 and alkalinity is lowest on chart. I have 30 gallon with cories and tetras. Any ideas on how to raise these naturally. If not how about chemical wise. I do have live plants also.

They are to small to take pictures of. I got 4 marimo moss balls recently. Claimed to be 100% snail free. 3 weeks later tank is over run with snails. Only recent to tank I almost a year so I knowout came from those. No idea what kind of snails. Any ideas other then assassin snail to get rid of?

I have 6 cories and 1 bristlenose pleco in my 30 gallon tank. He seems to be bullying them one in particular. They're all larger then pleco. But today notice one has beat up dorsal fin and red mark on body? Feeding time especially is bad. I put food on opposite ends of tank but doesn't matter...

Can you keep red tailed sharks with cories? And also can you keep odessa barbs with red tail shark and cories?

Have a powder blue dwarf gourami it's hiding in corner,bloated,lethargicand not eating. Been going on 2 days. From what I've read could be constipation. Not sure can anyone help? All other fish are fine.

I've been using purigen in my tank it's time to recharge. Directions aren't very clear on how to recharge it. It's say 1:1 bleach water and soak in prime after. But then it says for freshwater use a buffer. Doesn't specify prime is for saltwater so which one is it?

Did end up getting purigen. Unbelievable the difference. Water is clearer then I thought possible.

Ok thanks I just did it last week apparently I need to do it more often. I usually squeeze and rinse sponge in bucket of tank water. But, apparently will have to clean entire thing.

Does anyone else have issues with Aqauclear 50 media lifting out of filter? I have foam pad, purigen, and bio balls or whatever the filter comes with can't remember what they're called. Every few days it lifts lid to filter and only foam pad is submerged in filter. Don't know what's going on...

It's all the same piece just ran under hot water and bent it up and cut some slits.

I've heard a little about this. But everything I've heard is great. I see it's also rechargeable. If it does work so great Why doesn't it come with filters or more popular? Was thinking of getting some. What's your thoughts?

I've recently got a piece of blackwood at lfs. I'm boiling it. Will water ever not get stained brown while boiling? I changed water a few times in 8 hour period.

I tried this. It worked. Bent 90° cut a few slits to slow water works great. Had to drill holes in extension and filter outlet. Put about half in pieces of zip tie ends through holes to hold it on.No harm done though. Thanks.
