Hey all, I am really struggling keeping Tuffies alive in my 10 gal feeder tank. I seem to loose about 1-2 fish a day. I have tried many different water types with NO luck. My LFS tells me frequent feeder fish loss is normal? Thanks for your thoughts, Rich

Thats exactly what I just finished doing. Poured in about 1/8 cup of pure ammonia in my 90 gal. to bring levels up to 5 ppm's. (HOLD YER NOSE, MAN!!!). It took about 2 weeks to clear up and break down. Rich

I added about 1/8 cup of pure household ammonia, and I have a small amount of sinking food pellets in the bottom "decomposing" . This should supply some ammonia levels. I put the ammonia in, and did a test about 10 hour later.

Hey all, I've been cycling my 90G for about 1 1/2 weeks, and I did a water test last night, basically I have 0 ammonia, and 0 nitrates. So I am heeding the advice here, and splashed in some ammonia. I am at about 4-5 ppm's. About how long do you guys think for some nitrate levels to grow...

Hello folks. Iv'e had my 90 gal tank running for about 48 hours now, and one of my Fluval filters keeps intermittantly shooting tiny air bubbles. All these bubbles seem to be settleing all over the inside of my tank. I hear gurgleing water inside the filter also. My other Fluval filter operates...

I would like some input on heaters, specifically shatterproof titanium style ones? I will be stocking some "playfull" large species, and I remember years ago some species like to bite on the bottom of the heater. I have a 90G tank, so I need roughly 400W of output. Thanks! Rich

The gravel is a small amount left over that was actually in use in the tank. I threw most of the gravel out, as I had no place to store it while I moved the tank. Ever try to lift a 90G tank with 2" of gravel in the bottom????!!!! Screw that, I would have ended up in the ER.

I am in the process of cleaning a 90 gallon "lack of maintenence" aquarium. This tank is SO SKANKED!! Everything I dissasemble to clean has a HUGE amount of thick brown sludge adheared to it.
