So I recently wanted to empty my tank put soil and cap it with sand. I recently heard that adding soil releases ammonia, is this true. And if it is how often should I do water changes and how much until I should stop and do my normal water change of 20% every week or 2
If you have no other plants I heard that covering your tank with a blanket or something to cause complet darkness can help. Not sure if it works for everyone but it worked for my friend
So I just purchased a new anubis and it dosnt look great. Anybody know why and how I can fix it? I bought it the same way it looks in my tank so it was not me that did anything to it
They are better though I'm sure it was not the comet not liking the fantail because they have always been together and they get along, they swim together and they always follow each other around
I have a comet and a goldfish in a 15g tank. They are still quite small and have plenty of space. I have had them for a few months however yesterday I realized that the fancy goldfish is just staying in a corner hiding and not coming up for food. He always eats don't know what happened

So my tank recently broke and I had two goldfish in there. A comet and a fantail goldfish. So I did not have any spare tanks so I just put them in a bowl fish tank. I see a lot of poo and I'm not sure what to do. If I use a gravel vac I'll just suck all the water out as there is not much water...
