Oh, I will. You'll see before and after pics. Hopefully within a month. I just need to make sure my moss will take under water first.

    Flipping my tank?

Had 1 of my female angels lay eggs last week on my sword plant. But my male ate them. So, I got a few more plants to cover the corner they like. But, now I'm really wanting to rescape I would love to do the forest look for this tank. I found alit of moss I wanta try out. And I have the driftwood...

moss in tanks from the woods outside

Yeah. I you tubes a few after I found the moss. Seen a few people put little stones in a water bottle (cut the top off) and the moss was put on top of the stones with a little more stones put on top of the moss to hold in place then filled the bottle and put it in a window. Easy enough.

moss in tanks from the woods outside

That would be a good idea with the air stone B. But the thing is I don't wanta have to keep an air stone on it all the time. I'll be slowly submerging the moss little by little every few weeks. I am mostly worried about pine sap from the pine trees is all.

moss in tanks from the woods outside

Yes, eventually. I wanted to start off a few weeks just with the bottom (root system) under shallow water inside a jar. Then add more water in a few weeks to cover the moss if everything is still doing good. The way I see it, is: if moss grows in wet land it could grow in a tank if done right. I...

moss in tanks from the woods outside

My question is can you use moss from trees in the woods? I found some that look exactly like the ones I see for sale. Should I try it or no? Will it hurt my fish at all? I have nice piece in a bucket with only the roots in some of my tank water for now. The moss is above the water. Just wanted...

    Betta Fish Problems

Heated? Filter? Test the water? Treat the water? Water changes? Need a little more info.

Ick - Treat the whole tank?

Lol! That's funny! I used salt first sign of it till the tank got heated up. Then second day did a 60% water change added water at same temp as tank 88° and no salt after the first water change. I only use salt if it's really bad. And if its not too bad then only until the temp of the tank gets...

Ick - Treat the whole tank?

Well, it won't hurt to extend the meds a few more days. Just in case. Myself, hate meds in my tanks. But, if you feel you should then listen to the voice on your head this time around. Lol! I hate ich and I tackle it a lot, because I save fish I like at pet stores around me. Just tackled it last...

Ick - Treat the whole tank?

No, I wouldn't. Probably a way of getting you to buy more meds and fish from them. If you see nothing. I'd leave it be. You most likely got rid of the source when the tetras died off. Take a break and relax. Look them over extra good for the next wk. And keep up on weekly water changes to keep...

    Lethargic Betta

Nope. You doing everything right. If the ammonia gets up to high I would. .50 is too much. .25 is doable with meds. Think he'll be ok. He's swimming and eating diffently always a good sign. Take care!

    Pregnant betta fish????

Are they in the same tank with a divider? Or two tanks side by side. Just make it so they can't see each other.

    Lethargic Betta

Betta's are sensitive. Keep all ammonia out with no spikes right now is most needed to heal. The cause was probably the heater. But, could of been a lot of reasons for the infection, could of got hurt from something in the tank or something too . Get some dry blood worms and water changes with...

How do I completely get rid of Ich?

High HEAT! I go 88-90° in my tanks cause my fish can handle it. I do that for 3 days at first spots i see along with a water change and vacuum bottom when spots are off fish usually the next day or 2. If you have another tank or buckets to put your fish in for a day or 2. I'd move them out and...

Thats cool! Free tanks, but at least you know the silicone was done by you and done right. I'd buy silicone to fix used tank any day. Good luck on your get up! Enjoy! And welcome to the addiction. Lol!

Pleco looks like it may have fungus

Two pleco's that size in a 55g. Time to up grade. Sometimes harder to keep together as they get bigger. But, he looks much better. Great job Doc! Thumb!

Aquarium salt! Dissolve it in a bowl same temp as tank and add it to the water. 1/2 -1 tsp per gallon. Set heat at 80°. It will help with the clamping and to heal faster. Good job momma. Should pull through.

Air stone in a planted aquarium

I don't run co2 yet. But, I see a difference in my 55g with and without an air stone. Imo, it helps move the water around more, when my plants have a little move to the leaves, is a sign they are getting what they need. Without an air stone some plants are at a stand still ( don't move) and I...

    Cloudy Black Water For Weeks

Looks like your stirring up a dirt bottom tank. Filter might be too strong and/or intake set too low if you have hang on the back filters. The driftwood would cause the water to turn brown. If you vac the bottom on a dirt tank could cause black water too. Somehow the substrate is getting pushed...

Moving a plant from water to air

It would take some time. But, if you let new growth merge above water you should be able to transfer the new growth. I found a video that might help understand a little more. You can probably use a bottle, jar, or contain and put it in the window too. But the video is the idea. Hope it...

    Constipated Betta

Take care of him. There's more to betta's than a lot of people know about. They are an easy fish for some to keep, but they don't live long for them. They are harder to keep if you want them to live a long life. Another note for you to keep in mind is, his belly is as big as one of his eyes...

    Constipated Betta

No, just feed once a day 3-5 pellets (soaked) he'll be fine. If you want you can skip a day out of a week on feeding. I don't, but some do. Later today I'd just throw him a little blood worms. Then feed tomorrow. I've tried peas and Imo, peas don't do much. You have a better chance just not...

    Sick Baby Betta

If you have some blood warms try feeding her alittle after you get the water level down to her. She might still eat. If she eats, that's a good sign.
