Thanks for the info, but I have one last question. Would it kill my filter bacteria? If it does, is there a way to prevent it? Or would I have to do a fish in cycle.

It’s a 10 gallon tank. I’m currently using a 20 gallon sponge filter. Current looks ok, the top of the water is moving in all areas. Also a thing to note would be that I can’t use algae killers, I have 2 nerites in there.

Is my betta Orion wounded? He’s acting normal, but there is a scratch I think right above his eye!! There are no sharp objects in the tank or fish. (besides a snail) He’s eating and moving just fine.

I moved it to a plastic bottle cut in half with plastic wrap to lock in humidity. One leaf is a bit shriveled up. It just looks dry.

Added some rocks and root tabs! The flourish kind. I buried them near the ozelot sword and the amazon sword too. I’ll get some anacharis to fill in some cracks in the rocks soon as well. Can’t wait to see how it looks in a couple months!

Be ready for a lot of hiding. Mine only come out when the lights go out. Any other time you wouldn’t even know they were in your tank.

That happened to me too. Your filter should clear it up in a day or so. If it doesn’t, get a water clarifier. I used Aqueon’s, and it worked really well!

Looks great! Have you considered getting live plants? Things like java fern are pretty much un-killable.

You could use super glue. Just let it dry before putting it in water.

Most aren’t gonna affect you much, but like Autumnsky said, some like neons are more sensitive. It’s all about what you think looks best and what is easiest for you to handle.

Tetras aren’t difficult to cycle with. You have bacteria in a bottle, so it wouldn’t make a difference. Just add as much as the packaging directs you to and add the fish. I’m pretty sure you could even add them at the same time! A stocking idea would be to get 8 tetras of your choice, a guppy or...
