Advice on planting a tank already filled with water?

Oh really? I wasn’t sure how ‘deep’ they needed to be planted in the substrate or if I need any specific fertiliser or anything.. I have vallisneria spiralis, taxiphyllum moss, helanthium tenellum & ludwigia palustris which are all supposed to be ‘easy’ to care for and good beginner plants :)...

Advice on planting a tank already filled with water?

Hi everyone, I have some live plants on their way which I’m wanting to add to my tank which is already filled with water, has fish in and currently only has plastic plants/decorations. I’ve heard it may help my ammonia issues as well as being beneficial in a number of other ways! I have...

    ‘Fluff’ on mangrove root

Hi everyone Not sure if I’m in the right section but I’ve noticed there is a ‘fluff’ like substance on my mangrove root in my aquarium - I’ve had a look on google and it appears to be some sort of fungal bacteria which is not harmful to fish. Has anyone come across this before & is it safe? Do...

    Water level issues

Thank you so much for all your advice - it is extremely helpful! I will continue with that process and keep my fingers crossed! One more question - I was thinking of getting a new/better filter as the one I have came with the tank and isn’t the best. Am I best to leave as is until my tank...

    Water level issues

Thank you very much for your reply and advice! I have done the 50% water change with treated water & added some bio-boost. Would you recommend I do a 25% water change daily until the water levels are under control? I was worried about over cleaning the tank so wasn’t sure if this was a good or...

    Hi from a newbie!

Hi everyone, I am a new member and I’m new to aquarium keeping too. I have my first tank which is an AquaTropic 65L community tank. I am fast becoming fish obsessed and love my new hobby, however I am also discovering I have A LOT to learn! It appears I’ve been given some fairly bad advice...

    Water level issues

Hi everyone, I am new to this and have recently got my first tank - it is a 65L and has 3 mollies, 2 guppies, 3 tetras & 2 African dwarf frogs. I have already been told it is already over-stocked. It appears I didn’t cycle it correctly before adding the fish but I did exactly what I was told...
