Is there a specific reason you want to cut the quarantine short? If it's just because you want to see the fish in the tank then definitely do not shorten the QT time. It's not just in there for Ich prevention, there are a myriad of diseases you want to make sure do not show up in your show tank.

No, you can't have 2 sonar fish in the same tank. It gets in the way of them forgaing and stresses them out. Wish you could cause I have a Ghost Knife and would love to get an elephant nose.

I wouldn't think it would do anything. It would add more O2 to the water which is good for the fish but if you have good circulation in the tank the fish are getting enough O2 anyway. Plants need CO2 and the set up you have doesn't add any of that.
