Ok, I have a question.... People keep aquariums on the house floor with out a stand, so could you do this with a 55 gallon? And When done, do people just set them up on the floor, or put something under it for extra protection?

Ive allways heard not to keep south american cichlids with african. Ive been seeing pictures and videos on youtube with tanks with africans and south american mixed,, and none of the fish chase or try to kill eachother. Ive even seen african cichlids with angels. Whats up with this?
