    Ya for sure, I like over filtration because it allows for more beneficial biological bacteria to grow in your filters and keep your tank clean and healthy. Plus the bonus if one filter ever conks out you still have one running

    I don’t know if you are in Canada or the States, but most major pet stores like PetSmart or petsco, tropical fish stores carry various driftwood and other cured woods for aquarium use.

    I know a lot of hard woods like birch have natural tannins and acids in them that will lower ph and might change the colour of water, especially fresher branches. Just be careful and do your research.

    Don’t quote me or anything but it almost looks like a sevrum, size sounds about right too. Definitely a south or Central American cichlid though.
