Sorry for the rather delayed reply, finally settling in from the move, but I did find a home for the big guy in Minnesota. And now I sit here with an empty tank waiting for next summer when I buy a house...

Bamboo shrimp are really cool with their fins for collecting food. They get pretty big too!

anything that isn't a slow swimmer should be fine, but you can't be totally sure it won't eat any. I would think that as long as you keep him fed he won't have the need to eat the fish....

He is about 8 inches including his long fins. Finally got a picture of the camera shy bugger. I am actually trying to find him a new home soon because I will be moving to Colorado from Minnesota in about 3 months. I will have to take down my 55g till I get settled and start the cycle all over...

8 inch Green Severum

looks like he's in a tank that is too small, but it is hard to tell.

Do you do water changes the same way with an external canister filter as you would a hang on back filter?

I have a five to six inch green severum that I need to find a home for. Let me know if you are interested. I would post a picture but he is extremely camera shy. It was one of the last severums from Exotic World of Fish in Rochester, MN. Very beautiful fish!

it looks like a swimming pool vacuum that picks up the stuff on the bottom, but instead of using water from the hose it uses an air line... It would be cool if they had more pictures of it.
