Ok i have always heard that corals wont do well under anything less than a 10,000k bulb. On hellolights.com they recommend 6,500k for SPS and 20,000k for soft deepwater corals. Does this mean that if i have 20,000k bulbs then i wont be able to keep SPS successfuly?

I was just wondering if i could possibly get away with having 2 bulbs over my 6 foot long tank instead of 3. I dont mind putting everything on the edges of the tank. And it seems to me that there would be almost enough light in the center of the tank to keep a few low light things like shrooms...

I am about to convert my 125 gal into saltwater and i need new heaters. So if anyone needs 1 or 2 stainless steel heaters let me know. I will also be selling my 55 gal stand after i get everything set up. Heaters are Via Aqua 300 watt. Used for less that one year.

I was wondering if regular old silica playsand would be ok to use for a DSB. I know i would have an outbreak of diatoms pretty bad. But after they got settled down would there be any other issues with this kind of sand? I was thinking about maybe like a 50/50 mix of yardright and silica sand...
