The only test I get readings are nitrates, there at 10. No nitrites, or ammonia. I don't tesk for calcium, ph is 8.1 The screen method, how many pieces do I start off with? Never done that before. How long do I leave the lights on for? I have six blue leds at night, should I leave them off?

If it indeed did shock them, what should I do? I have only been running the new light for about 4 hours a day. The bulb came with fixture, I have used it for six months. So, not sure about time frame for the old bulb.

I kept a octopus for about 2 months. One night it stormed really hard, I think it was the light from the storm that scared him. He inked the tank pretty good. By the next morning he was gone. They are fun to watch eat though. Maybe try again in the future.

I really did not like the wet dry because it seemed all the waste ended up sitting on the bottom, that's hard to get out without taking all the water out of the sump. tds meter? - no I do not have one. (know what it is though) Thinking of drilling the tank, sick of looking at that overflow...
