I have ::counts:: 4 other tanks which all smell "healthy" I think it is the shrimp.. I did a 50% water change last night, cleaned out the filters.. and its much less smelling today. The fish seems fine, no signs of tail/fin splitting.. plants are all fine. ::shrug:: anyone have any other...

I havent been removing any.. I usuaully feed before I go to bed. When I wake up in the morning there is nothing left. Its not a fishy smell though.. not like rotting/dead fish. Its kind of musty?

my arowana

Hey there. Sometimes my arowana goes up to the glass of the tank and acts like hes fighting his own reflection. Maybe he thinks he is? It's kind of wierd. He'll swim back and forth sometimes opening his mouth as he attcks the glass. He seems like avery peaceful fish otherwise. Any ideas...

funny... because ive seen several sources that say they do, and thats what the fish store owner told me he fed them..... :roll: and i wonder what they might eat in the wild, seeing as they cant catch anything

i believe the post starter was actually talking about a violet goby. i have a silver arowana also though. hes my pride and joy, he's about 12" now. i think the only legal arowanas are the silver arowana.

I had a violet goby and fed him shrimp pellets and ghost shrip. I hardly ever saw him eat though... maybe they like to eat at night?? sadly he fell ill and died

hey, i cleaned out an old tank of mine and some how managed to cratch the glass :oops: any body know of a product i can use to remove the scratches. :?
