The beta seems to have staked out his territory in the top right of the tank. The tetras hang out in the lower rear and the red tail on the lower left. Everyone seems to get along fine. I've had the betas and the tetras for nine months.

Good day, I have a 15 GA community tank with a Beta, 5 red eye tetras, a red tail shark, albino catfish, and a mystery snail. Aside from the beta most seem to hang around the bottom of the tank. I would like to add a few fish that prefer the top third of a tank. Any recommendations? TNO

I have 5 tetra's and a small albino catfish as well. All seem to be quite active and healthy.

Well, it didn't turn out well for the Loach. I spoke to the owner of the store where I bought it and he recommended aquarium salt in my tank as he uses it in his. Should I be concerned about use of aquarium salt with my mystery snail? Thanks, TNO

Thanks, I'll try that and keep an eye on the beta and shark. Interestingly the Beta was quite passive around the tetras but he is quite aggressive towards the shark. I use cycle regularly. I'm not sure where my Ni's are. Thanks again.

I gave up on the Elite Hush 20. Personally I think it is junk. Bought an Aquaclear 20. The water is clearer now then it ever was with the Hush. I think the aim of Elite is to keep you buying their crap filter inserts.
