No, they don't seem to be reaching for anything in particular. They just come out and flop around most of the day. I was curious, just because there are 6 heads on it and only one has sweepers that come out. The rest just look normal.

I have had this hammer for a little while now. I noticed some time ago that there are sweeper tentacles coming out of only one of the heads. The rest look normal, but no sweeper extension. Is this a normal phenomenon or should I move it around?

they are small enough for them to eat normaly. They look like they are chewing, but that is how it eats

Mine eats other foods to. I make my own food, but mysis shrimp, or brine shrimp will normaly be taken as part of their diet. They just scavenge the sand bed a lot.

You should never stock your tank with the intentions of someday getting a bigger tank when the fish outgrow it. What happens if the upgrade never comes, then you have a severely cramped tank.
