No I appreciate it I would rather do without one. So if I dont have a skimmer should I just do partial water changes about twice a week or once or? Atm I am doing them about once every 10 days. I have a skimmer on it atm though but its not a great one.

I checked my ammonia readings yesterday, so the shrimp was in my tank 3 1/2 days or so and they were .50 and my ph was 8.4 I didnt check nitrites or trates just those two things. edit: is that a good start?

That is what mine looked like but when I did a water change I accidently knocked the squishy jelly stuff off :mad: I just scooped it up with my net and threw it out, it looks like more is forming around it though

Yeah Gobys are neat, I like them and jawfish. I think my first new purchase when my tank is done cycling is going to be a yellowheaded jawfish. I'll probably have to go over my $50 dollar limit when I start buying coral. I will do my best not to, definately never drop over a grand on a fish...
