i am thinking about geting a royla pleco but i here that they are very hard to keep is there any one out there that has or had one that could help me out?i.e pitfalls/ and are they realy that hard?

i know people say that fighters should not be put in the same tank as guppys but i have 2 guppys and 1 fight in the same tank and have had no prob's at all.the guppys was in the tank first and i put the fight in about 4weeks later....i am new to this game so please be nice if you are going to...

a freind of mine got a redtail shark and when he was doing a water chang the shark went all white.i think it is down to stress but am not sure so if anyone know any think about this please could you let me know what it is.it has gon back to black now so it has got me thinking.
