Hello My Java Fern is growing like crazy and it's taking over a little more space than i'd like it to. Should i go after the older leaves, the younger ones, or whatever will fulfill what i'm trying to get esthetically?

yeah. it takes a minute for the bubble to chug it's way through the intake tube. that isn't the sound though. the sounds sounds like the impeller fan is going to explode.

what did you do? i made sure i didn't turn it on before there was water in, washed off the bio filter, lubed up the impeller and it's still really really loud. I can hear it coming from right where the impeller is. it's not vibrating on anything. SO FRUSTRATING.

i returned my first one thinking there was something wrong with it and the new one arrived in the mail today with the same results. The impeller fan is loud as ****. Even with the top off, and some water conditioner to lube it up it's still about as loud as my old aerator pump. Any suggestion...

all of my chemistry is on point. I do one 30% and one 50% water change every week. i unfortunately have no room left in this tiny apartment for another tank. Now even more motivation to get out of this place.

cool. i bought another pad with the filter today. so it's mech/bio/mech and most of the dust from the soil got pulled out while i was at class. Is it a bad idea that i'm keeping both filters going while the ac20 builds up a bacteria community?
