Out of line Nit's, Amo's. What to do?

Thanks.. I didn't ask the LFS to babyset, perhaps I will. They felt the tank was going thru a mini-cycle from the move, and that I should let it take its course without a water change. Perhaps a 15 to 20 gal water change would not slow the cycle. I'm sure it would make the fish more comfortable! Tx

Out of line Nit's, Amo's. What to do?

Unfortunatly I have no other tank. This is our first sw tank. All the fish look ok currently. Does a water change at this point stall the cycle? Should I wait it out? I've been feeding every evening around 6pm. Perhaps I should cut back to every other day? 8O Tx

    Huma Trigger Acting psycho

Hello.. We moved the tank & fish a week ago. They seem to all be happy & healthy. However now the Huma is spending most of his time down between to rocks. He does not come out when I feed. When he does venture out he looks healthy. If I approach the tank, he darts back into hiding. The first...

    Very high Nitrate

Thanks... unfortunately we received the tank as is, with no info. So I'm not sure what the level was before. It's a 72 gal, so from reading other post, about a 35% change would be ok? Thanks for your help... WJH

I've seen other post talking about removing some of the bioballs? I have some live rock, however it is not...

Hermit Crabs, with Triggers & Puffers?

I have two different opinions from two[/code]LFS. One said Hermits will be ok, other said the triggers will eat them. What about Hermits that live in the ICW here in S. Fla. Are they ok to try in the tank? Thanks

    Do I have correct lights?

Thanks.. They are not encrusted. Just hint of some purple & red. The tank has been running only three days since we moved it, so the water is still a bit silty. The two triggers like to pickup sand and blow it around...

    Do I have correct lights?

We acquired an established 72 bow front w/ live rock and sand. We moved the fish, water, and whole setup 200 miles to our home. Every thing is setup & running. The live rock does not look very "alive". The lighting is a Allglass dual 40 watt florescent w/ Coralife 50/50 bulbs. Are we ok with...

    Sealife protein skimmer venturi?

Tx Tim.. If you pull the end off my tube, there is a small stream of water coming out. No air what so ever is being drawn. This pump came with a slip on tube that fits over the pump outlet. This small tube has a small inlet where the air tube connects. Does your air tube connect to the out side...

    Sealife protein skimmer venturi?

I setup a Sealife 75 skimmer, powered by a AquaClear CAP800 pump. The tube that is connected to the pump outlet to pull in air, does not. It is pushing water thru? I have no bubbles in the skimmer tube. Also there is a water line mark on the skimmer tube. However the water level keeps rising...
