I'm to a newbie.. for comparison, I have the only one Coralife 50/50 6000k/03 blue, the other fluoresent. 40 watts. This is on a 72 gal bow tank. My live rock is coming along ok, but slow. I'm not at 3-4 wpg. You have a much larger tank. Maybe I should go to dual 50/50... WJH

Results 11/09/03 Thanks for your help. I did the water change a week ago. I checked ates, ites, NH3, and everything is near zero! It seems that the tank has mini cycled. TX agian... WJH :D

Thanks.. I didn't ask the LFS to babyset, perhaps I will. They felt the tank was going thru a mini-cycle from the move, and that I should let it take its course without a water change. Perhaps a 15 to 20 gal water change would not slow the cycle. I'm sure it would make the fish more comfortable! Tx

Unfortunatly I have no other tank. This is our first sw tank. All the fish look ok currently. Does a water change at this point stall the cycle? Should I wait it out? I've been feeding every evening around 6pm. Perhaps I should cut back to every other day? 8O Tx

Thanks... My PH is 7.8 - 8.0. Amo/Nitrite was 0. However the Nitrate was high, 70. I have a Sealife75 Prot Skimmer. Yes there is a bunch of "yuk" coming out to the bottom of the sump. The fish seem healthy & happy. TX WJH

I have two different opinions from two[/code]LFS. One said Hermits will be ok, other said the triggers will eat them. What about Hermits that live in the ICW here in S. Fla. Are they ok to try in the tank? Thanks

Thanks.. They are not encrusted. Just hint of some purple & red. The tank has been running only three days since we moved it, so the water is still a bit silty. The two triggers like to pickup sand and blow it around...

Tx Tim.. If you pull the end off my tube, there is a small stream of water coming out. No air what so ever is being drawn. This pump came with a slip on tube that fits over the pump outlet. This small tube has a small inlet where the air tube connects. Does your air tube connect to the out side...

I setup a Sealife 75 skimmer, powered by a AquaClear CAP800 pump. The tube that is connected to the pump outlet to pull in air, does not. It is pushing water thru? I have no bubbles in the skimmer tube. Also there is a water line mark on the skimmer tube. However the water level keeps rising...
