Yea my daytime temp gets to 82 and night temp is about 78. Thanks for all the info. I plan to do 5 gallon changes every other day to get the nitrates down, then go to once a week water changes.

When makeing a reef tank, does all the rock have to be live, or any of it at all? At the LFS they sell Lace Rock and its only2.99 a pound. It looks almost identical to Tonga rock except for the fact that it is a bit darker in color. Will corals attach themselves onto this kind of rock? -Thanks

Ohhh yea, my tank dimensions are 36"L x 12.5"W x 18"H. I would like to put my shrooms very close to the bottom and hopefully they will spread. With the lighting I have, will the corals I buy grow fairly quickly?
