Once the fry are free swimming you should remove the parents to a separate tank. For some reason the fry will start to eat the sides of the parents when they are a few weeks old.

1 week with your Ammonia at 0 (needless to say check daily or more) should be sufficient. Don't add too many too fast, that small of a tank the ammonia can spike very quickly.

I respectfully disagree with this. As long as you have adequate hiding places most of the fry will survive.

Fresh is always better. But the Protein content in Freeze Dried is way higher than flake/pellet. I would suggest using a staple pellet or flake, and feeding freeze dried 1-3 feedings a week.

I second this, unless you are seeing an Ammonia or nitrite spike. They are a bit delicate and I would allow them to clam settle in for a few more days.
