What do you feed your pistol shrimp? as I said earlier I try feeding brine shrimp but same as your is reclusive so as soon as I put the long pipette in to target feed him and the YWG he just bolts inside the borrow and when he come out brine is either already been eaten by others or is swept...

Funny you said that I was going to ask if and what people feed their pistol shrimps. I always taget some brine shrimp near the borrow of my yellow watchman goby/ pistol shrimp but never see the shrimp eat. Had the shrimp over 2 months now so he's gotta be living on something lol. ?

My YWG does not leave the sand floor other than feeding time may quickly swim to grab some food then straight back near entrance of he's burrow.

My watchman is I guess about 3" now has made a little growth. I feed it frozen brine shrimp and sera marine flake food. have to target feed him to make sure he gets some food as he don't like venturing out to far from the burrow. He also grabs mouth fall of sand and sieves through and also seen...

Tanks been running since early December 2010 I do syphon it with a gravel cleaner when I do a WC but with in the week it grows back! Yes I use RO water

So once you ran a few gallons through it the dis-coloration stop and water just ran clear that's all I need to know. I guess I didn't rinse enough or properly as I only places in a bucket of ro twice to rinse. I'll wait for the reactor to turn up and rinse using that.

What about the aqua beam 1000HD ULTRA fitted into my hood ? Spec says: 7 x 14,000K white LEDS and 3 x 50,000K blue LEDs would this be sufficient lighting for all coral grows??

Yep correct Australian spider sponge. Scientific Name: Trikentrion flabelliforme. I received this as a small frag, small growth in height has been seen no new branches formed yet but seems to be doing ok in my tank. Looks real nice when all the White polyps come out. yeah they are doing well...
