Check value are not great, unless they are perfectly clean and checked often. I would not count on them period.

    If Aiptasia Anenomes are animals

The difference is they are not furry and cute. There is no such things as equal rights for animals.

Which of these 4 power filters for a 50 gallon tank?

No, the filters provide 02 to the nitrifying bacteria in the filter, by bringing in water from the tank and the water flows around the Bio Max then back to the tank.

    Fluval 405

Has to be an older model, I've not had any problem priming my 305.

Which of these 4 power filters for a 50 gallon tank?

Fluval 405, I also like Ehiem they are very well built. Look for similar flow rate to compare, but they general cost more.

Which of these 4 power filters for a 50 gallon tank?

Everything you will need will be included when you by the filter. I changed out the carbon after my tank cycled for more bio filtration.

Which of these 4 power filters for a 50 gallon tank?

Neither make any noise, their pump are not very power full, it will depend on how high the return has to fall, my 70 return is the same level as the water. For me is the same.

    I am addicted

Nice, love the dark substrate. I want CO2 soooo bad, but the big bucks go to my 120g reef.

Which of these 4 power filters for a 50 gallon tank?

I love the AC70, really good flow. I have a 70 and a fluval 305 on a 36 gallon bow, with a powered. IMHO, a AC 110 or two 70s. You could just get the one 70 then a second later.

    My filtration unit

    Yea, I'm assuming your freshwater?

    My filtration unit

You could put a second pump online on the return line, I feel that's a good way to keep oxygen levels high in a canister filter. For flow I would get a propeller type of power head like an MP10 or 40.

    RBTA not too good.

Yea, forgot SG is 1.025-1.026 verified by Vertex refractometer with ATC. Water change is 15-20% weekly with Catalina sea water.

    Video of my tank

Looks really good, love the tangs, I think my blue tang suffered from being in a small tank. Now I've got a 120 and she's very happy!

120g Build, upgrade from 72 bowfront.

I had my MP40 from the last tank for wave making. Aquapro 48" light fixture and a Protean 400 system from ETSS all also from the last tank. My refugium has a deep bed of Miracle Mud, Cheato growing with a 5700 k spiral CF from HD. About 10 pounds live rock in refugium. The skimmer is a Sump...

    RBTA not too good.

My RBTA split about two months ago. Since then both have become pale and shrunk, they close up about once a day or every other day. I've been trying to nurse them back to health but nothing doing. One looks pretty bad. When I got it he was dark brown base and very bright tips. Not sure if...

    Photo period.

I have an AquaPro fixture over my 48x24x24 120 gallon, fixture has 2x150w MH 1400k phoenix bulbs, 2x95watt PC 420nm antinics. Current photo period is antinics 14 hours and MH 9. I have a mixed reef with SPS, LPS, Zoas, star pylop, and aneomes. I would love to cut it back to save power but I...

    Too many snails?

Well if you have more than you want toss some out or give them to a friend better yet. There is no exact formula for numbers, every tank is different. Some people keep the water ultra clean so a lot of snail are necessary, in fact to many and they'll die off. Some tanks need more because of...

Particles(dust like) floating around in my tank.

My experience is that no matter how much physical filtration you have you'll always have something in the water column. This is what my corals, shrimp, snails, and Pods eat and that's good. My tank still looks nice and clear though.
