i had black and blue sand mixed in my tank for about a year. It looked cool at first, but the got dirty looking. I am now in the process of changing over to white sand. I would imagine white and blue sand wouldnt appear as dirty. The color of the sand does not have any affect on your tank.

I just added the heniochus butterfly to my tank last week. Great looking fish, not shy at all and eats most everything I put in the tank.

Hmmm... i see what you are saying. well its a HOB overflow, it came with my sump, which is rated for up to a 125 gallon tank. I think my overflow is rated for 600 GPH. The hose is 1". Does that make more sense?
