    Quick question on pH

A pH in that range should be okay for the tetras. It's more important to have a constant pH, rather than a pH that may fluctuate with additives. Sent from my iPhone usi

    Bogwood

It's important to have a consistent pH, so the lowering of the pH is not as big of a deal as a it may seem. As mentioned above, soaking the driftwood before putting it into your aquarium will help to remove some of the tannins (which create the discoloration). Depending on how big the...

    Yep those look like eggs

    Snails!

The jelly probably is more snail eggs, chances are they will keep reproducing as long as there is uneaten food in the tank (I'm not sure if you have fish in it now). But in my experience, snails tend to die when I cut down on the amount I'm feeding my fish

    Floating parts of plant

You might have to weight them down until their roots become established. Try burying them as deep as possible, if that doesn't work I would try and buy plant weights.

    Trouble Feeding Betta

Last weekend I got a betta for my 10 gallon planted tank, and have only seen him eat one pellet. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me? He's in the tank alone, it's been cycled. I've tried feeding NLS Thera + and Omega One flakes.

    Filtration for planted tank.

There isn't really a replacement for carbon you just don't use it. A lot of people just buy filter media (just the pad) and cut it to fit in their filter.

    Stocking Levels

All aquariums have a stocking level, even the largest tank can't hold whatever fish you want it to.

    Fish store

If your comparing chain stores to local fish stores which are privately owned it all depends on your location. Some places the chain stores provide healthier fish and in others in vice versa. In mares the local fish stores are better.

    What do you mean?

    Tank size?!?

The number of cichlids that fit in those tanks is relatively small, your pretty much looking at shell dweller or dwarfs for the most part. Either Way IMO you could only keep a pair of dwarfs in either tank.

    I Found This Mean Guy

Yeah they're game fish, haha not something to be kept in an aquarium

    Which type of moss?

    How talls the tank?

Urgent - Fantail Fin Rot (but no clear reason why)

It's no big deal, you didn't know any better. Everyone makes mistakes. The test strips aren't very accurate, so once you get your test kit tomorrow it will give us a better picture of what your water parameters are!

    Which type of moss?

It's a possibly with moss, what kind of light is it? (incandescent or fluorescent)

Im worried i have way too many fish

The Pictus will get too big for the tank since it can reach over 10 inches and from what I've read prefer groups. Columbian shark catfish also needs a bigger tank because of its capability to reach 10 inches. Raphael seems ok from what I've read. The pleco most likely is a common and that can...

Urgent - Fantail Fin Rot (but no clear reason why)

Unfortunately the tank you have can't support that many Goldfish, so I can't help but think there's a problem with the water. What were the exact readings for the test? What did you use to test? Did you quarantine the new fish before adding it to the display tank? What's your water change schedule?

    Which type of moss?

What type of lights and what size tank (the height is what's needed) do you have?

    New to live plants

I believe that that stands for 18 watts, t8 however I'm not sure. If that's what they are then unfortunately the lights aren't strong enough to grow plants that like to cover the bottom
