I've had 3 platy births and none of them happened in the breeder box. The females hated it. 2 were in the tank and 1 was separated from the other fish with a tank divider. I found the tank divider to be the best route for me because Mommy was way more relaxed and then the babies have a decent...
Fish to be treated are platies, guppies, cories, tetras
I've seen many of them with the stringy white poop. So I should be doing both then? I'm so confused!!
Hmmm...that's odd! All your other barbs are fine? It must have been an injury or something that weakened him and then the others really went after him. Just a guess! Sorry you lost him...
My fish have the long stringy 'parasite poop'. Do I need to treat them with food and a tank treatment or just one or the other? Will the tank fizzies do the trick on their own?

Agreed. I should have mentioned this!! I used some filter media from a friends' cycled tank and it really helped boost my cycle along. Is there anywhere you could get some?
Well of course I'd like more but my hubby might not agree with me so I have to do it one tank at a time so it doesn't seem like so much all at once!! LOL
I would think that if you can get your hands on some media from a cycled tank you'll finish cycling. My tank was on a bigtime stall and my friend gave me some media from her cycled tank and mine was cycled within a week! Good luck!
