    Dirt..and...Discus

So I did a dirt tank for a local shop, and they want to put discus in it. Its only a 55 so I'm going to stop at 4 or 5, and the tank needs a few more weeks till I feel comfortable adding them. Anyhow figured I'd make a post on it and do some progress reports and a that. Here's a short video...

    Garage fishroom 2.0

That's right, I'm rebuilding my garage fishroom. I moved some of my stuff into a spare room because the climate control is much better in there, but figured out that I have much more room in the garage. So, I forked out the money for a decent sized portable A/C unit, and now we are in...

Trying to figure out tank baffles

Can anyone tell me how these baffles are supposed to work? All 4 frag? tanks have them. The outermost one on each side is shorter and has a 1/4 in gap at the bottom. In the dead center there are 6 3/4" holes in line. Anyone have a clue how they had these set up? Sent from my LG-D850 using...

    Just another build thread, sorta

I'm doing a pretty substantial build with some frag tanks that I got a good deal on. They aren't going to be show tanks but serve a more utilitarian purpose. There's 4 tanks and they are 96x14x10. I'm considering using a 40b as a central sump since I have one available. Sent from my LG-D850...

    New tank(s) build

So, I haven't really been doing much with tanks since my last rack setup which consists of 8 10s and 6 20s. But I saw a great deal that I couldn't pass up. I ended up getting 4 new tanks for $100. They are 8' long acrylic frag tanks. They are around 96x10x8 or something to that extent. I...

    New glofish....hybrid?

Just saw in one of the weekly wholesale lists, new glofish. A hybrid of the white skirt and lemon tetra. So now they are both gmo'ing as well as hybridizing new fish for mass production. I have my personal opinion but I'll get on that soapbox later.

    Plant update

As some of you may know I've been growing submersed plants outside. Battling algae has been tricky, but the plants are still doing good. Here's a few pics. Wisteria is going red. Nesaea crassicaulis is not doing so hot, but otherwise everything is fine. :fish2:

I have a 6 way co2 splitter made by aquatek. It's only a few months old, I just don't have a use for it anymore now that I'm running my co2 directly into a sump instead of separate tanks. Works fine, has some scratches and wear on it from having to put a wrench on it. Retails for around $65...
