I havent had any luck finding a bottom feeder for my 55g that actually eats the left over food that accumulates on the top of the sand in your opinion what is the best fish for the job?
Ok I did not know that thank you Especially since that's the only African sick but I have my tank got him as a "grab bag" fish for a dollar because he was white and nobody knew what he was in the store
It is only eating small pellets and according to 2 different home tests and a test by a store te parameters are good its just weird that he just swims in really fast circled outta the blue
I have a 5" African cichlid that will swim normally for a few hours then all of a sudden start swimming in circles really fast hang out by the heater for a little while then go back to normal
My power just went out and I have a backup generator but don't know which filter to plug in and run for now either my nexx 110 canister filter or my marineland penguin 400 these are both on my 55g tank please help
I had a catfish a few years ago and it was great i mean it made it through 3 moves a hurricane and a 2 blackouts. I would like to Try and get another one but don't know what kind it is. I'm "assuming" it's a synodontus but can't find it. The description I can give is that it was about 8" after 2...
The mono I have is about 5" high and about 2" in length and is very peaceful. If I do rainbows would I be able to do bloodfins down the road(after transferring the mono) or will they get too stressed out?
Hello AA community
I am restocking my 55g and need suggestions I'm running an API NEXX canister filter(55g rated) and a marineland penguin 400(90g rated) for filtration and the only things in there right now are 2 bamboo shrimp and a mono sabae(which I'm converting to salt water in a few months...
Apistos are very cool but everyone I know has the double red and aggazzi(I think that's you to spell it) but the hongsloi looks very nice but they are sold out everywhere but I'm going to try to get my hands on one. I know I'm starting to be a pest but is there anything else I can look into also...
I'm starting to like the haliquins I like their color and thei schooling but now the gudgeons are out of stock and won't be in for a month is there any other centerpiece I could use?(I'm not really into groumis or rams)
It's ok no prob since the cpds might be too shy is there any other small schooling fish(other than neons which I'm not a fan of) that I can replace them with for this tank and quick question would I be able to switch the gudgeons with a blue angel? Since they only need a 30g("recommended") or is...
Ok so then if I do the ADFs and the kuhlis rhat should be fine for the bottom? And if I can't find an apistogramma that "catches my eye" other than a ram or a groumi what else could I use as ancenterpiece?
I do know how hard it may be to feed the ADFs since I have 3 already in my 75g and I wanna regime them into this tank(maybe I should've said this before) but I'm have good success with the ones I have and they even eat the pellets. Are the kuhlis going to be enough as far as bottom feeders go or...
Sorry for the typo I did mean african dwarf frogs bot adult that not gonna be too crowded at the bottom with the ADFs, kuhliis and corys? and I've been looking at the apistos and they seem pretty cool but I don't know of any lfs around me that carries males although I did find 1 I liked online...
I just wanna do something other than cories since I've had them in every tank I did except 3 and I am using bigger catfish for those.
And I've had ADFs before and had alot of success in feeding them and if it looked like they weren't eating I'll use a syringe to get the food other then the...
