just curious i was wondering if any one knew the diffrence between the apex and the apex jr other than price like is there stuff the normal unit can do that the jr cant.

so i was looking in my tank and i noticed there was this fish looking thing it looked like fish larva but the thing is i dont have any fish in my tank as its fallow with inverts only in the tank and coral is was under rocks with what looked like some copepods any idea what it could be?

So I have my new rbta and he's looking great found a spot he liked and hasn't moved at all, my question is what can I feed it iv tried small mysis but he didn't eat it and cyclopeeze but the cleaner shrimp just took it away any ideas?

Just thought id show him off inflated quite nicely right away he's rather small.

so i moved all my fish to quarintine yesterday to leave my dt fallow, and iv had a blue tang in qt for a while with copper, bout 2 weeks and hes been fine but i just noticed him flashing how if copper kills the ick?

ok so i have ick on a sailfin tang i had it on my blue hippo tang and was able to quarintine it in a 20 gallon for now, but problem is i know its still in the system so how can i kill it as i only have my quarintine and display tank so i cant put my fish in quarintine for the 6 weeks any other...

so i have algea on just about everything i can get it off the glass pretty much with the glass magnet, but having so much on the sand and rocks is bothering me alittle i dont mind some but its too much, would adding a protein skimmer to get soem nutrients out help? and on a side note is there...

so i have coraline algea on a piece of rock and i started adding purple up and at first white spread around it on a large area on the rock and then the purple started turning white...any idea what this could be it was doing fine before i added purple up. thanks for any help!

Is te water level in te sump supposed to be high or lower so the water trickles down the live rock rubble

so this is my new tank i got off of craigslist its a 45 gallo corner tank with a 10 gallon i believe sump its got pfs in it and 30 lbs or rock so far to start with. and 3 peppermint shrimp.

so i just put a sump in my tank and i took out the bioballs and gunna put live rock rubble in there and i also put my heaters in there what else can i, im completly new to sumps but i have it up and running so i think im doing something right thanks!

do they breed as much as freshwater because i had a real infestation of freshwater snails in my 55 and dont wanna repeat that with my salt water. thanks

so put the live rock in :D and the salinity is finally right! so i started cycling and my first question is i know i can use flakes but could i also use shrimp pellets for bottom feeders as a source of ammonia or would the flakes work better. and 2 how long should it be before i notice anything...
