so put the live rock in :D and the salinity is finally right! so i started cycling and my first question is i know i can use flakes but could i also use shrimp pellets for bottom feeders as a source of ammonia or would the flakes work better. and 2 how long should it be before i notice anything on my live rock like algea or coraline or something like that thanks!

Go to Ace Hardware and get some janitorial strength ammonia. Dose with that rather than going with a shrimp or flakes.

any of those above options will work fine. coraline algae will take awhile to develop but will be sped up dependingon your light and how much is already on your rocks

Oh ok thanks and just wondering do salt water snails reproduce as much as freshwater
