This morning things got a little worse...I found more anchor worms had attached themselves on my gold oranda. After nearly 2 months of different mystery illnesses I've decided to do something harsh. I've gone and bought a larger hospital tank, new pump and filter, new anchor worm medication...

I use frozen peas...put them in the micro for about 1min 30sec...Cool them off (for some reason fish don't like hot food) and pinch them out of their shells. If the fish is constipated this should clear it up. You should see green poops.

Yesterday everything ok...This morning my Moore was floating upside down and his dorsal fin is turining white. I removed the charcoal and Melafixed...If the upside down swimming is swimbladder problems, what causes it and how is it treated? White on the fins...Fungus? I've had him for nearly...

I usually do a 25% change weekly...I did, however, change the gravel just before I noticed the scale proplem...I had to do this because my smartest fish kept getting the larger stones stuck in her mouth...Could it be stress because of the change?

Water has recently been changed...total change about a 2 weeks ago...and been doing a 25% change every other day when I vaccuum. The tank is 20 gallons and the fish sizes are as follows: Both Orandas 3" Moore 2" The scales are coming off on the body and near the tail not near the gills or head...

I think my plecostomus is to blame for my missing scale problem...He came out of hiding today and he has gotten real big and agressive. I found him sucking to the side of the black Oranda. He has since been moved and fed an algae wafer. I may replace him later on when the algae builds back up...
