    How many cory's?

I tried endlers, that bombed. The females kept eating the shrimplets. But others have successfully kept endlers with RCS in heavily planted tanks. You could try something like ember tetras, they're tiny enough I'm not sure if they'd go after the shrimp.

    Sick fish?

Please give us the specs: size of tank, is it cycled, readings for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH. Hard to tell, pics are fuzzy, but it looks like fin rot to me. Usually, this can easily be cleaned with good tank maintenance and keeping the water pristine. What are you feeding? Usually...

    Betta in Semi-Aggressive community tank??

There's really no one answer to your question. Some have had success keeping bettas with tankmates, some have failed miserably. It really depends on the personality of the individual betta. And a young betta that gets along with tankmates might not as it becomes a mature fish. So yeah, in my...

Why Me??? I did things right!!

I respectfully disagree. The temp should be maintained for at least a week after you've seen the last spot on the fish and then reduced slowly. Dropping temp 5 days in won't really have served a purpose, in my opinion.

    my attempt at breeding kribs

Congratulations! I always enjoyed seeing the little wrigglers their first time out.

My betta is swimming hella weird ?

That's a very poorly stocked tank. The betta alone should really be in a 5 gallon. Not sure what the crab needs size-wise but don't think it's a good combo with the betta. With regard to meds, never use meds unless and until you have diagnosed a specific illness. Clean water is the best thing...

Why Me??? I did things right!!

Your sharks might not do well with the salt. You might want to research that. Dissolve the salt first, should you decide to use it. In my eyes, your tank seems overstocked. Yes?

    Aquarium Salt??

I have FW tanks. I would only use salt when treating disease and then, only sparingly. People seem to be strongly opinionated either for or against it for consistent use. Expect to see both sides of the argument here.

    How many cory's?

I have corys in my RCS tank. They leave all the shrimp alone.

Adding kuhli loaches to a 10 gallon tank.

I have to respectfully disagree with the proposed stocking of this tank. I have over a dozen kuhli loaches and would not recommend keeping them in tanks less than 30 gallons. Yes, they have a small bioload, but just like a rainbow shark would require a larger tank footprint (compared to their...

    5-N-1 test strips

Ditto, you need them. Being able to test your water parameters ensures that your fish tanks are being properly maintained. It's the responsible thing to do. End of story.

    Sarpaes are mean!!!

I've never heard about serpaes eating fish scales, mine never did. Mine were also not nippy but I also kept a nice large school of them. My serpaes were kept with other tetras of the same size and attitude like red eye tetras. As aqua_chem asked, if your school was not large enough, you would...

If you're in the USA, you can get the test kit at kensfish.com for less than $18. Great customer service, too.

    my attempt at breeding kribs

You might want to try putting more in the way of hiding places/caves in that tank. It's pretty open for kribs. When I had my breeding pair, every night, the mom would take all the free swimming fry to a different cave to hunker down for the night. She especially seemed fond of the cichlid stones...

    Betta died Overnight

How did you acclimate him to this tank? Even though we have 4 tanks in our house, they all have a different pH and temps, so I would still need to acclimate were I to switch a fish over. I'm sorry for your loss.

    Help would be appreciated

Welcome to the forum. Hi, you will need to read up on the nitrogen cycle and cycling a tank. Please see this link: I just learned about cycling but I already have fish. What now?! - Aquarium Advice Now, for some bad news. Your tank is much too small for those fish. That tank is roughly 10...

    what shrimp would be best?

I've seen amanos grab a shrimp pellet and then pump their littler swimmerettes flying through the tank holding the pellet until they reach a hiding place. Trust me, they won't starve. LOL

    what shrimp would be best?

Some people keep bamboos in groups, I have a single and he does great. I do keep 3 amanos, but they don't really interact at all.

    Ick or fin rot?

Fin rot is not a symptom of ich. Ich looks like the fish has been sprinkled with salt. I agree, a better photo would be beneficial for us to help you.
  23. LyndaB

    what shrimp would be best?

Amanos should work out well. Also, you can check into Bamboo shrimp, they get large enough, but do best in established tanks with good filter flow, as they are filter feeders.

    Rain water

It may be better than tap water for humans, but not necessarily for fish. I agree with the others, I wouldn't do it. Not quite sure how you'd test for pollutants with the API master kit unless there's a reagent I'm not aware of. ;)

    is aqadvisor accurate?

In a word, no. I don't trust it. I don't believe in it. I don't advise that fishkeepers of any skill level use it.
