I really want a betta, but I am not sure if it is better to get him his own tank, or if it is OK to add him to my community tank. it is a 20 gallon tropical with some tetras, swords, and a couple of gourami's.

I was wondering if any of you have any opinions on adding the water from the bag that new fish are brought home in to the tank. Is this a good idea? I am apprehensive because I know my water is good, but I am afraid to add the water from the store. Am I being overly paranoid? :?

HI. I was told by someone at my LFS that there is no algae eater that will survive in a tank with fancy goldfish. Is this true? Can anyone reccomend something? Also, how about ghost shrimp? I thought having some other types of things in the tank would make it more exciting...am I crazy? :roll:
