    Silver dollars not growing

How can I grow them bigger? I have 4, 3 inch Silver dollars in a 45 gallon. I've had them for a couple of months and they haven't grown any. I feed them about 5 medium sized pellets everyday consisting of crushed spirulina discs and sinking shrimp pellets. I change about 20-25% of the water...

    changing conditioners

I'm thinking of changing from aquaplus to tetra's aquasafe. Since they have different ingredients and chemicals, is it safe to mix them? I'm thinking they're going to mix in the tank when I do a water change.

    Using activated carbon

After reading all that, I've decided not to use carbon. I'll see how that works for awhile. After all, I can always add carbon again if I need to. Anyways, I've learned that water changes are the way to go.

    Cycling for almost 7 weeks

Thanks for the advice. The fish have been in the tank for about 7 weeks. I do 15% water changes a week. Menagerie, it would be great if you could help me out. I just don't know what you mean by "squeezings," though. Anyways, I live in the NE section of Calgary, in the Falconridge/Castleridge area.

    Cycling for almost 7 weeks

Hi. I have been cycling for almost 7 weeks now and my nitrites is still up, off the chart actually. (Ammonia is 0). I have 18 one inch fish in a 45 gallon and do 15% vaccum gravel water changes. Why is it taking so long to cycle? I add Cycle every week, which doesn't seem to help much. I have...
