Hello, looking for some help. came home from vacation and my giraffe cichlid had these white substances on him. One of them looks like a cotton ball attached to his eye, and then there are a few other spots on his top. What do I do? Is there anything I can do, or is he done?

I got a 56gallon tank. In it are 3 red zebras, 3 colbats, 3 yellow labs, 3 giraffe cichilds, 2 johannis, 1 rainbow shark, and 1 snail. Is my tank overstocked, would i be able to get more because i know that you want to slightly overstock with cichlids.

so i got a tank from a friend, sealed it, and it was good for 2 months but then started leaking. I know where it is leaking from. Should i just take the silicone and just seal over the old glue, or shud i take the old stuff off first and real seal? what is chemically different about silicone...

I got 9 baby african cichilds, and one red tail shark. They are in a 44 gal, and it needs more fish. I don't really wanna add more cichilds. What other fish could i add that would go well with them? If i had to add more cichilds which ones should i add. I have the blue, orange, and yellow ones...

I sealed my tank with petco aquarium silicon, left it for 48 hrs. and have just filled it up. Its been sitting for about a half hour, and i only sea one spot that looks to have a leak. Should i empty it out now, or should i let it sit with the water in it to see if there are any more leaks? I...

So what kinds of fruits/veggies can i feed cichlids? I've been told swordtails will eat cucumber, will cichilds? I also have a rainbow shark so anything they could eat besides the regular food would be great.

Since i don't have a black light on my tank, is it ok that my tank is completely in the dark when i go to bed?

It seems to me that my cichlids are much more active at night. They seem to always be swimming more, and are more eager to eat.

whiskey is a strong alcohol with high proof...example Jameson-Irish Whiskey 40% alcohol proof 80. Maybe YOU should learn your alcohol.

If your gunna put them out of their misery, putting them in a cup filled with alcohol is pretty quick. Something strong, 30% proof or more. Whiskey.
