I have a friend that has a 75 gallon fishtank and she has allll kinds of cichlids in there..She has red parrots mixed with africans mixed with god knows what lol.But her fish seem to get along and thrive as well

Okay well a red parrot cichlid is a mix between a south American and central American cichlid. So I thought you weren't suppose to mix them with African cichlids?

I saw this picture online and I was ordering what kind of cichlids are these? Like the big blue one and the little yellow and orange ones. And I see a red parrot cichlid in this mix as well. I thought you weren't suppose to mix Africans with other cichlids?

Okay so I'm going to be starting an african cichlid tank here soon. It's cycling now. Just wondering if you guys use flake or pellets for Africans? I'm wanting to get some synodontis Catfish for bottom feeders so will that matter also what I feed the cichlids.

I used this bacteria stuff before and it worked on my other 55 gallon aquarium. Okay well I already put one dose in it. So should I just not do that at all and just add ammonia to my tank or what that mess it up since I've already started using the seachim stability bacteria growth stuff?

I have to get ammonia but for now I put some fish food in the tank for ammonia. I have an API test kit. The bottle of seachim bacteria says I can add fish immediately. Anybody know anything about that? I did it on my last fish tank and it was okay

It's called Quickrete pool filter sand. It says it's "tan in color" but I read on someone elses fish forum that they used this sand and it's white... has anyone used this exact sand? Thanks(:

I have a 55 gallon tank. The cheapest stand around here is 100 dollars and it's made out of that fake wood. I bought the exact same one before and it worked I guess. I just hate to spend 100 dollars on a stand. There's no middle pegs on this dresser so I guess I'm just going to spend the money...
