    Filtering 180 gallon cichlid tank

    I have a 180g and use a sump, canister and a powerhead. You can never have too much filtration... But even that I find threre are still some debris floating around the tank,.. Would love to see your sump setup Andrew, was thinking about setting up a refugium

    Need help!!! Probably not a new thing but my eheim 2026 is leaking left right and centre. Well front and side to be exact... It was sitting in my garage for 2 months but before that was working fine. When the power is on and the filter is running, water is leaking near where the power code...

    Lol yes I'm using a stool now... Getting a longer gravel cleaner so that I can get to the bottom of the tank easier. Do you ever need to remove the rocks?

    The others are convicts, red tail shark and a syno cat. Not a good mix I know, but I think the guy just want to get rid of them. I'll try to rehome them.

    Yes you are right. There should be instruction on the bottle too. I am curious to see if it will speed up the cycle. I didn't measure mine last time.

    I have used api stress zyme with no issue. Not sure if it helps but I'd still allow time for the tank to cycle.

    Nice tank you got there. An all male peacock tank would look stunning. Search firefish and jacobfreibergi they are great looking peacocks too. I think yellow labs should be fine, I've had mine for years now with peacock without any problem. You are right about not getting the same color male.
