    Snail I.D.

Lol I must have about 30-40 of the buggers in my 14litre. They are a nightmare!!!!!! Always having to pick them out. They come in on the plants. I am soon breaking down my tank and will be getting rid of the snails once and for all and then I have this snail poison stuff to put in a bucket for 3...

    10 gallon build/stocking questions

I had a male betta with a dwarf gourami for years in a 14g. Never had a problem left one another well alone. As for neon tetras with gouramis I would let the tetra get a little size to them before adding a gourami as mine picked them off out the shoal when they were really small. Have you...

    Clean up crew

Mine is getting coraline algae on the back as well. I just never thought it was good to always be putting my hands into the water. I'm going to get a few more snails to help keep the algae down I can't get to (in-between rocks and glass where it's too small a gap to get to without moving the...

    Clean up crew

Hi Yes it is a reef tank. My hermits do a good job with the rocks and I only have 1 turbo snail which mostly cleans the rocks and goes onto the glass rarely. I'm having to clean the glass all the time and it's not easy with the LR being close to the back glass and some of my mushrooms being...

    Clean up crew

Wow that seems a lot. My tank is about 20 gallons. I was always led to believe I couldn't have many snails as they would starve if there are too many. But I seriously need something I'm cleaning the glass every other day and my corals don't appreciate me messing in the water lol

    Clean up crew

I have a RR94. What would be a good cuc? I currently have 3 red hermits and one turbo snail. I run rowaphos but I'm still getting lots of algae on the glass. I'm not over feeding and only having lights on for 7-8 hours a day. I also feel that as well as something to help clean the glass I could...

    my new 30

Cory catfish are really cute and stay small. Really hardy too. Good luck with your tank

    my new 30

I would suggest adding the gourami last. Do not put small neon tetras in as my gourami ate 3 of them when they were very small. My gourami hides at the back behind the plants so I never see him apart from at feeding lol. He doesn't bother my cory catfish though and they are a really nice little...

    my new 30

In my experience my blue gourami bullies and dominates the tank so I would get fish that swim quickly and provide lots of hiding areas. If I could turn back time I would never buy my gourami as I have had to take many fish back and have lost fish through him bullying. And I read somewhere that...

    Lauren's Adventure

Have kept this tank for nearly 2 years with all the pictured inhabitants for that length of time. I have only ever lost 2 fish in all that time (very lucky- especially living in London with our horrible hard water!) I do a 20% water change religiously every 2 weeks and add tap safe to the new...

    Skimmer trouble!!

Ok thanks. I've adjusted it this morning and left it alone. Can't tell at the moment if it's working or not so will check in the morning. I really want to use the skimmer as it's brand new and cost a lot. So I don't want to waste my money but we shall see hopefully I'll get it working lol

    Skimmer trouble!!

I've been running my skimmer for about a month now in my RR94. It's a v2 120 skimmer. I thought it was skimming correctly but after doing some online research now think it's not doing anything at all. I can get micro bubbles in the chamber that them fill the cup with water but pictures online...

    I.D please fish&coral

Quick question do I feed mushrooms and polyps? One LFS said no they use photosynthesis the other said yes feed twice a week so I bought some reef feed.

    Suitable fish

Only 20gallons and I already have 4 fish so was looking for just one more. A group of chromis might be too many for a small nano

    Suitable fish

I've just looked up blennies. Only problem us they are bottom dwellers like my goby. Wanted something to be active in the centre really as clowns are always up in right corner, goby is always hiding and wrasse is usually hanging about in the rocks.

Would a blenny be ok with the fish currently in the tank? Clowns, wrasse and goby?

    Suitable fish

Hi all I currently have a RR94 with 2 common clowns, a watchman goby and dwarf parrot wrasse. Which other fish would be suitable to add to my tank? I have been advised against royal gramma as it may not get on with my wrasse. What fish does everyone suggest? Thanks for your help Lauren
