I have many small tanks and I follow the 10-20% water change per week with great success but I agree with Rocket2001 that more info is needed so everyone can give you really good advice.

Bettas are fantastic fish with so much personality! My fiancee hates taking me to the LFS because he knows I'll try to bring home yet another one! :D However, I think I'm wearing off on him.....the last trip HE wanted to bring one home! :D Yeah!!

We've got 3 bettas now, 2 blue/red and one red one. We're putting discus in the 108 gal with 2 clown loaches and 1 sailfin pleco (these are waiting to be transferred). Very exciting!! :D We were thinking about using it as a bathtub/swimming pool for the 4 year old, but at the last minute...

We already fed peas tonight because there's a pleco in the tank who loves them....I saw betta eat some.....I'm so worried 'cause he's my favorite fish. :cry:

Just noticed my male betta has a very swollen/bloated belly.....this is new, he didn't have it before he ate (just fed him frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp) ...could it just be that he's a pig? He's never done this before. Any ideas?

Well, got myself yet another betta tank.....can't seem to help myself..... turned one of my fiancee's 10 gal into a betta/pleco tank yet again, this time with a beautiful blue/pink male betta and an albino bushy nose pleco. Really cool looking pleco, he's just a baby but is already spectacular...

Just noticed today that my clown loach comes to the top of the tank and then makes a "clucking" sound. 8O He does this four or five times and then goes about his business again. Has anyone ever had a clown loach that wants to be a chicken before??

I have a betta in a 10gal with a couple of white cloud tetras and a small pleco. He doesn't bother them at all.....but he does act like he owns the tank and the other fish stay out of his way! :) I agree that you should stay away from fish with flashy tails; this will probably just upset betta...

That's about what it looks like. Any idea why they get it? Is it because they are such fast growers.....mine is growing like a weed! 8O As long as its not dangerous I guess I'll try not to worry! :)

It sounds like a normal part of the shrimp decomposing. Are you doing the "dead shrimp" fishless cycle? If so, how long have you been doing it? What are your water parameters?

Thanks everyone. I'll keep an eye on her.....she seems really happy and currently hospital tank is occupied by pregnant guppy(go figure!). She's growing really fast so I'd better get that 90 gal up and running soon! 8O
