    Plecos

The only option I think would fit is pitbull pleco or albino bristlenose.

    Does anybody know...?

I think live aquaria.com has some. But like absoluteangel said, they're always at the big chain fish stores.

Zoo Med T5 HO light bulb combination

Was wondering what the best combination of light bulbs would be for a heavily planted tank. The fixture is a 24 in Zoo Med AquaSun T5 HO Double Light Linear Fluorescent Hood.

    betta tank mates

This is kind off topic but a kissing gourami would get WAY too big for a 20 gallon. I read that they can get to 8 inches and need around 50+ gallons.

Bolivian ram vs german blue ram and how many of each

For a standard size 30 gallon with 50 gallon HOB ( not sure on brand). I would like these fish 3-5 Panda corys 1 Angel fish( only 1 and will be moved when large enough to my friends 70 gallon angel tank) 7 Neon tetras ( not an option since their tank will be converted to shrimp tank) And...

Substrate for new 30 gallon fish tank build

1 pound of substrate per gallon is a good rule. You clean it by putting it in a bucket of some sort, stick a hose in it and let the water overflow. This way the water will carry the dust and other bad things away while leaving the sand. And make sure you stick the hose or some kind of stick or...

Help me make it better? Trying to achieve Amano look

This is my 10 gallon tank. I'm really new to aquascaping. I will be upgrading to 2 10w bulbs 6500k. Right now I have 1 black mystery snail, 1 amano shrimp,7 neon tetras, about 10 MTS, 2 aponogeton plants, 4 java fern ribosomes ( only 2 with leaves at the moment), and java moss. Can you guys give...

    Buying red cherry shrimp.

It seems that I am posting too much on this forum. Anyway, would anyone mind selling me 5 red cherry shrimp? I personally can't afford the prices on eBay and my LFS sells them for 3.99. I know some people sell shrimp on here for slot cheaper. I plan on breeding these guys and use the money to...

    Dirt substrate capped with sand?

So after tons of research, it seems that sand will not be good enough for growing plants like amazon sword and other root feeders. So instead of supplementing with root tabs, can I use dirt? Like, .5-1 inch layer of dirt and 1-2 inches of play sand. Will this be ok? Please don't suggest capping...

    Why is my Java Fern....Dying?

Oh. And like BillD said, they are NOT fast growers. Sort of like the counterpart of the java moss

    Why is my Java Fern....Dying?

The same thing happened to me! I am starting to think that this is the plants way of acclimating to your lights and water chemistry. My java fern lost all of it's leaves and now it is growing little, but very green leaves.
