Okay. What are some different ways to go about making my tank fish ready? (As far as cycling goes.)

I will be setting up a 150g tank, dimensions:48 x 24 x 31. I want to put a pair of GBR and around 6-7 kuhli loaches. I want something that is slightly bigger or a pretty "uncommon" smaller schooling fish that is compatible. All advice is appreciated, good or bad.

Dimensions are 48 x 30 x 25 Tall. What are some good stocking options? I love kuhli loaches, so if you can incorporate these in that would be amazing. Please and thank you to all who help. Correction added here it may be 48 x 24 x 31.

Just wanted to say hi and ask for some ideas. I'm getting a 55g tank with everything I need. Im going freshwater and I am set on getting a few kuhli loaches (4-5). So what are some stocking options? Any suggestions on a nice and natural looking substrate? Possibly even good plant ideas. Please...
