How would I secure it to a flat rock that I want it to spread on?

I have a quick question. How do I get my Xenia coral off the plug I bought it on? It's grown from one stalk to three but it's still on the top of the plug.

He wasn't attached to the rock, the cave has a sand bottom. I dropped some food in and it reacted when a brine shrimp landed on him. He seems to be doing better, thanks for the reply.

Update. The tank is doing awesome. The last fish and shrimp that bought where killed by the clowns. I now have an anemone but that's a different thread. I just want to say thank you for all your help, soon I will have the experience to answer question on here myself.

Sorry, I circled it in this picture. It's white and curled with what looks like tentacles at the fat end. I'm trying to get a better picture but it's so small I'm having trouble.

Have this growing on the inside of my tank. I'm taking the easy way out and asking if anyone here knows what it is?

Yeah that's what it was. I've only had the shrimp for two days. So I didn't expect a molt so soon.

I'm still more worried about him undermining the live rock he is burrowing under.

His burrow is pointed away from the back of the tank. He doesn't even look there. When I introduced him he showed no inclination to jump.

It's a four inch bed, he'll be digging for a while.

Will he stop digging? He might be in danger from the falling live rock if he keeps it up.

Just got a new fish, a blenny of some kind I think. Interested to know what you guys think.

Fixed the diatom problem, added snails shrimp and a new fish and the rest of the live rock I wanted.

I have a diatom problem but I work hard to keep it clean. I'm told that the diatom problem will go away?

Right now it's not big, the same guy who is donating coral is going to sell me an older light he has. The fish have been in the tank for three weeks and ph is 8.4 and all other levels are zero. Slowly increasing the bio-load to see what it can handle.

Thanks guys, it's the fishes safety I'm worried about. They are like my kids.

I'm going to get some more live rock. In a few months I'll try an anemone and I have someone donating coral frags. Maybe one more small fish, looking at a chalk bass. I may even get a bigger tank, I'll probably need it.
