I am looking for some advice on how to go about moving a 55 gallon saltwater aquarium. I have about 75lbs of live rock, a few corals, and 5 fish. I will be moving in next winter, and want to start planning how to go about this, so any advice would be appreciated.

my fire shrimp would eat both formula 1 and 2 pellets, and frozen food for that matter, I don't think he really cared as long as it was food...:-). I never directly tried to feed him, he would just get what ever the fish missed, until he went MIA anyways :-(.

My LFS said that neon Blue Gobies will school together, but i can't seem to find any info either way about it. So is this true? I was going to get 1, now i am thinking of getting 3.

I have read 40 to 50 is the time to really get worried. When mine hit 20, I started to do more frequent water changes, and added a refugium with Macro in it. Now my nitrate is not exactly 0, but somewhere between 0 and 10.

My yellow tang does the same thing with my false perculas.

I have one, and never seen him pick on anything else in the tank.

You also may want to consider adding a refugium, with some macro algae. Done alot to improve the overall quality of my aquarium.

I use CaribSea Sp. Grade 1-2mm. sounds like i should to vacume all the substrate.

What is the correct way to do a water change, in respect to vacumming the substarte? (not sure if vacumming in this right term, but i hope you know what i mean) The guy at the local LFS told me I should be "vacumming" the entire substrate as I siphon water out. I have not being doing this...

what kind of hob fuge is it? I have a cpr 18'' aquafuge, cpr recommends the maxi-jet 600, since I will be replacing the rio 400 it came with someday soon.

Do refugiums eliminate the need for protein skimmers?

Anyone have any ideas what these spots are? I have clownfish that have similar spots. They behave normally, and are eating as usual, but one day these spots showed up just like the one's that gear head posted.

Again last night I noticed 1 white spot on the yellow tang, but this morning it was gone. The 2 clowns had no white spots last night or in the morning. The tang never appeard to scratch himself either. I am going to start the garlic and vitamin supplements this week.
