Really like the new set up. Have you thought about adding something on the back of the tank. Maybe a a dark back drop, would make the plants pop out more IMO.
Don't be to hard on yourself I did the same thing last week to my half-moon. He had some ripped and missing fins. I put him back in the tank and just kept a close eye on him. I left the lights off for a day so he wouldn't be too stressed. I feed him like I always did and he is doing real...
The smelly the food the better. I found that frozen brine shrimp works good. While they have trouble seeing their sense of smell seems to be better. I put a few small pieces in the tank and they can always find it pretty quickly. Feeding them in the same place also helps.
Are Fish Antibiotics Safe for Human Consumption?
This is an interesting blog on the subject. If things get so bad that all I have available is fish meds then I think I may have bigger problems to worry about.
I was watching a show about people who believe chaos is going to break out and the country will fall under anarchy. One thing that I learned/found interesting is that many of these people stock up on fish antibiotics because you don't have to have a prescription to buy it. I hope things don't...
Shrimp would be good for that size tank. I like ghost shrimp, they are active and fairly cheap. REd Cherry Shrimp are nice as well, but I have trouble finding places that stock them.
Yeah I like to have different things in my aquariums then just fish. I saw this and for once I showed some restraint before I bought. Glad I did because I may have woke up to an empty fish tank.
Well that is a bummer, doesn't seem like they do well with fish. Guess I will wait until I upgrade to a larger tank and then make my current 10 gallon home to them.
I was at Petco today and saw a group of Albino clawed frogs. I had never seen these but I think they are really cool. They were selling for 13 bucks a piece. I really wanted one but before I spent that kind of money I wanted to know a little more about them. The worker in the section was...
How long have you had the fish? What is your water testing at? I really can't see the pics but you said they look like sores. Google dwarf gourami disease and see if it is similar to what your fish have.
Yeah I am not sure why I am even using it. I used it how the directions said to for about two weeks and really didn't notice a difference in my plants. I really should just cut it out of my maintenance schedule. I think I just bought it on an impulse without really doing any research on it.
Thanks for the reply. I have root tabs down and I also use Nutrafin Plant gro once a week. Also when I do water changes I use flourish excel. I will be more patient and give it more time.
I have had dwarf hair grass planted in my tank for about a month and a half. It has not died on me but it also has not really grown or spread out. I have a 10 gallon tank with 2 23w Cfl 6500k bulbs. I have CO2 running and I even changed my substrate from regular gravel to an Eco complete...
Ouch, that hurts, lol. She got some pretty big pots for the plants and I don't think she will be transferring them anytime soon. As far as not lasting 24 hours in your house, I am not a big fan of the east coast anyway, so no skin of my back.
