    Exact dimensions for 75g

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate it. I'm thinking I'm going to build it at 48.5" and 18.5". I do want to have wood trim cover up the plastic trim. I guess my safest bet would be to go back to my LFS when they have the tank in stock and measure it again and not lose the measurements...

Thanks for the input. I really only intend to extend the outputs. So, anything should work. Thanks again.

Where can I find extra 1/4" water line for my RO unit?

I bought an RO unit off of eBay. It works good, but I'd really like to get some extra water line for it. It took so long to get everything from the eBayer, that I'd rather not go back to them and even ask, but I'm not seeing it from anyone else either. Anybody know where I can pick some of...

    Exact dimensions for 75g

Hi all. I'm going to upgrade from my 55 to a 75g. That means I need to build a new stand and hood. So, a while back I took a trip to the LFS with my tape measure. It seems I measured it as being 48 1/8" x 18 1/8" but I can't find where I wrote it down. last time I was in there, they didn't...

RO Question: Good vs. Waste Water

Thanks for the input. I got a little scared when I read somebody's post that said they were getting 5:1. It seems that that is not the norm though.

RO Question: Good vs. Waste Water

Hi all. I hooked up my new RO unit today and am putting it through it's paces (Checking for leaks, flushing everything out). I let it run for a while and collected the good and waste water in identical containers. I found that I'm running about 2.5 times more waste water than good. Is that...

Is there a way to "unwatch" all posts?

I seem to have a bunch of posts that I've "watched" while a member of AA. Is there a way to "unwatch" all them in mass, or do I have to do them one at a time? Thanks! Jeff

    Don't buy this overflow.

I "attempted" to buy that very overflow from Bill as well. First he sent me an e-mail stating that due to a delay in fabrication, there would be a short delay. When I asked him how long, he said no delay, it's on it's way. Then I asked him for a tracking number. He didn't sent it, but said...

I'm Back And Back With A New Camera!

Hmm. I assumed it was just part of XP. I've got two machines at home one with XP home and one with XP pro, and they both do it. Maybe on the Pro it comes with it and the Home it was part of Dell's software.

I'm Back And Back With A New Camera!

If you've got Windows XP, you can right click on the picture and click resize. You'll get serveral optons for pictures sizes as well as "custom". It will leave the original in tact.

Aqua C Urchin vs Red Sea Berlin Turbo Classic

Thanks for the offer, but I'll pass. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the AquaC line here at AA, I'm placing my order for the Urchin. Thanks for your input! :fadein:

Aqua C Urchin vs Red Sea Berlin Turbo Classic

That's exactly what I am looking for. I want to hear what other people know about these skimmers. Ease of use and maintenance is very important!

Aqua C Urchin vs Red Sea Berlin Turbo Classic

Any thoughts. I know many seem to prefer the Urchin/Remora, but can anyone weigh in on the Red Sea? How hard are they to set up/ maintain vs the AquaC, etc? Those are the two I'm looking at currently. Oh, and they will be put into use on a 55 or 75 gal aquarium (depends how much money I have...

AquaC Urchin with Rio or Mag?

I've decided to go with an Urchin Pro for my sump. Captive Reefs sells it with a Mag 3 and Marine Depot sells it with a Rio 1400. Anyone have any preferences one way or the other?

LFS chain stores..ie petsmart, petco, etc

Well, CA to GA is a pretty big area. And I think that pretty much covers the area that they are bad (anywhere in between) :? . I've gone into Petco and never seen a sales person and if I did, they couldn't answer anything about the saltwater fish they carried. unfortunately, none of the stock...

    Homedepot sand???

Actually, I was going the other direction. I was thinking the HD sand my be an alternative for those that have reptiles. My wife bought a small bag of reptile sand for a craft project. I belive it was a 1 lb bag and it was $7-$8. It look pretty close to what I bought at HD for $7 for 50 lbs...

    Homedepot sand???

Also, for those looking for the Tropical Playsand at HD, it's usually in the garden section, not with all the other silica based playsands and cement. This may be a bit off topic, but does anyone know if the "reptile sand" you see at pet stores that say it's calcium carbonate basically this...

    I have copper plumbing

I just moved back in April and now have the room to set up my tank as a FOWLR. Eventually I would like to have some inverts. All I read about is that copper is deadly to inverts. Will my copper water lines cause me a problem? I was planning on using a "Tap Water Purifier" for the time being...

    workhorse vs. longhorse ballast

Per someone's suggestion here, I started to check out the Fulham line of ballasts. I was originally looking at the Workhorse line. It looked like the 7 could easily handle 2 96w PC bulbs. However, the workhorse line where "in fixture" type ballasts. I see they also have the longhorse ballast...
